Hi there! I’m Dawn, a one-woman business owner on a mission to create attractive, fun, and most importantly, safe boxes for cats and cat parents to enjoy. As a lifelong animal lover, Cat in the Box is both my business and my personal passion.
Helping cats live interesting fulfilled lives
In many ways, indoor cats have it good. Indoors, they’re safe from cars, coyotes, and bad weather. But there’s a trade-off: indoor life doesn’t always give cats enough opportunities to do the things that make them cats.
That’s where Cat in the Box comes in.
We design fun, thoughtfully made toys that encourage cats to behave like cats. Our wool toys are designed to engage your cat’s instincts to stalk, pounce, kick, and wrestle. Our cardboard box playhouses allow cats to ambush hunt and hide.
Just because your cat lives indoors, doesn’t mean they have to live a boring life. Indoor cats deserve lives that are as interesting as they are.

Inky Floyd is fabulous! My 4 1/3 year old girls went wild for him. They chased him around and one girl used him as a kicker toy when she caught him. They love their octopus and highly recommend him!
My cats absolutely love this toy! The best part is that the tail part of the toy they love to chase and the octopus is great for them to kick it. It’s the perfect size!
